In June 2021 the Laboratorio di Sociologia Visuale / Visual Sociology Research Group will host the annual gathering of the Radical Film Network, an international network that brings together individuals and organisations involved in politically-engaged and aesthetically innovative film culture. Since 2013, the RFN has been working to build connections between academics, activists and filmmakers involved in radical film culture and in 2021 we’re going to collaborate with the Media and Communication Degree Program (University of Genoa), Associazione Culturale Oblò, and the RFN to organize a Festival/Unconference, to give everyone the chance to participate and share their knowledge and experience of radical film and of film in the context of visual sociology and filmic anthropology.
